Yes — you can use PowerX chargers without joining PowerX First, even just once.

- **No membership fee for general use:** PowerX First is an optional paid membership. With general (non-member) use, there is no membership fee — you simply pay for the electricity you actually charge, billed per kWh (pay-as-you-go). - **What you need:** You still need to register on the PowerX app with a credit card before charging, but both charging and reservations are available with no membership fee. See /sources/en/runbooks/membership.md:144 (CS-106)
- **Differences vs. members:** As a general user, your per-kWh rate is higher than the First member rate, you can reserve from 30 minutes before use on the day, and each reservation is limited to 30 minutes (First members can book up to 75 minutes and further in advance). So a one-time use is fine: register in the app, add a card, and pay only for the kWh you charge.
