Output
Short answers first: no, output is not lower because you're a non‑member, and no, you are not penalised by time — PowerX bills by kWh charged, not by the clock. Tapering as SOC rises is normal behaviour.
**1) Membership / plan does not affect speed**
Charging output is identical for PowerX First members and general (free) users, and it is the same across the Economy / Regular / Premium menus. The menus differ only in renewable‑energy ratio and unit price, not speed (ja/runbooks/compatibility.md:139, ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:27, ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:234). There are documented cases where a customer believed joining/changing status changed their output — it did not; output was being auto‑limited by temperature and the vehicle's acceptance state (ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:196, ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:46).
**2) Billing is per kWh, so low output is not a time penalty**
Fees are pay‑as‑you‑go on the energy actually charged, not on elapsed time (ja/runbooks/billing.md:27, ja/runbooks/billing.md:193). Even within a 30‑minute booking, you pay only the kWh delivered (ja/runbooks/billing.md:244). So a slow session costs the same per kWh as a fast one — you just get less energy in the slot (ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:460).
One genuine time‑related difference: general users can reserve from 30 minutes before use with slots up to 30 minutes, while PowerX First allows booking up to 3 days ahead with slots up to 75 minutes (ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:248). So if output is low, a general user's slot may end before reaching the target SOC — that is a slot‑length issue, not a billing penalty.
**3) What the "150kW" figure actually means**
Max output is 150kW on a single port, and 120kW when two ports charge two cars simultaneously (ja/public-help/articles/23123162280473.md:20). Some stations are currently capped at 120kW, with a staged upgrade to 150kW at all sites (en/reference/membership.md:195). Actual output varies with usage conditions, environment, and the vehicle's receiving capacity (ja/public-help/articles/23123162280473.md:21).
**4) Why 55–90kW, gradual decline, or drop near full is usually normal**
- Ambient temperature and the charger's internal temperature trigger automatic output limiting (ja/public-help/articles/23459356662809.md:20).
- The charger only delivers what the car asks for, so many models never reach 150kW, and cold batteries accept less (ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:145, ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:126).
- Output falling as SOC rises is standard vehicle behaviour, not a charger fault (ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:460).
- A "135kW at another network" comparison is not directly comparable, since the peak depends on the car's acceptance curve, battery temperature and SOC at that moment.
**5) What to check on your side**
- The station's listed max output in the app, and whether the adjacent connector is in use (2‑port = 120kW cap).
- Any diagnostic/error code shown in the app — if one appears, contact support (ja/public-help/articles/23459247986585.md:20).
- Connector fully seated and locked, shift in P, vehicle power OFF, and no charge timer / charge‑limit (SOC cap) setting active.
- Retry from "Charge again" in the app, and try the opposite charger (ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:504, ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:196).
- Battery state: charging immediately after driving (warm battery) usually gives higher output; a cold or already‑high battery will be slower.
**6) When to report it as abnormal**
Fluctuating output (e.g. 81 → 60 → 54kW, or brief drops to zero) can be vehicle‑side, but it is worth logging: in a comparable IONIQ 5 case, support checked the session by customer ID, found no device error, and escalated internally for review (ja/runbooks/charging-troubleshooting.md:504). To let us check the specific session, please send: vehicle model, your user ID, date/time, station, left/right unit, LED colour, any error/diagnostic code, what the app and the car's display showed, and whether re‑charging worked.
Note: the workspace confirms per‑kWh rates of ¥65/¥70/¥75 (Economy/Regular/Premium) for general users and from ¥45/kWh for First (ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:105, ja/runbooks/charging-use.md:248); it does not contain a station‑by‑station list of which sites are still limited to 120kW, so please check the specific station page in the app for that.
