Here's an overview of PowerX First and how to manage it, based on the current official membership page and our support guidance.

**What PowerX First is**
PowerX First is an optional paid membership for the EV charging service. Benefits (at First-eligible stations):
- Discounted charging: from ¥45/kWh vs. the regular ¥65/kWh — always ¥20 off per kWh (/sources/en/reference/membership.md:47)
- Advance reservations up to 3 days ahead (general users can book from 30 minutes before use on the day) (/sources/en/reference/membership.md:27)
- Reservation slots up to 75 minutes (general users: 30 minutes max) (/sources/en/reference/membership.md:28)
- 150kW ultrafast charging (some stations are currently limited to 120kW)
- Plans: Monthly Plan ¥1,050/month, or Annual Plan ¥10,800/year (equivalent to ¥900/month) (/sources/en/reference/membership.md:129-131)
- A 90-day free trial of the membership fee is available for first-time users (/sources/en/reference/membership.md:209)

Important: even as a First member, charging fees are billed separately each time you charge — the membership covers the discounted rate and reservation perks, not free charging.

**How to confirm your membership**
Open the PowerX app and go to Account > PowerX First. If you're enrolled it shows "Currently enrolled"; if not, it shows "Not currently enrolled" (/sources/en/runbooks/membership.md:266). You can also check your current payment plan on that screen.

**How to register and reserve**
Both registration and reservations are done in the app (/sources/en/runbooks/membership.md:48):
1. Register: In the app, go to Account > PowerX First and complete the membership registration (credit card registration is required).
2. Reserve: Make your reservation in the app — as a First member you can book up to 3 days ahead in slots of 30/45/60/75 minutes.
3. Find eligible stations: A red "F" on the map in the app marks First-rate sites; stations without the "F" charge the regular rate (/sources/en/runbooks/charging-use.md:65).

If you ever want to cancel, go to Account > PowerX First management > Stop automatic renewal in the app; you can keep using the service until the end of your current term (with the Annual Plan, through the end of the 12-month term, with no mid-term refund).

PowerX First is the optional paid membership tier on top of the free PowerX app account. You don't need it to charge — general (free) registration can reserve and charge too — but First lowers the per-kWh price and opens up earlier, longer reservations.

What you get as a First member
- Best charging rates: from ¥45/kWh, versus ¥65/kWh~ for regular use — always ¥20 off per kWh. First menu levels run roughly Economy from ¥45, Regular from ¥50, Premium from ¥55.
- Advance booking: reserve up to 3 days ahead (general users can only book on the day, from 30 minutes ahead).
- Longer time slots: up to 75 minutes, so you can stay parked after charging finishes (general users: 30 minutes max).
- 150 kW ultrafast charging (some stations are currently capped at 120 kW and are being upgraded), at premium/prime locations, with over 200 locations planned by 2026.
- Note: output does NOT change with membership or pricing menu — First is about price and booking, not charging speed.

Membership fee (charging is billed separately, pay-as-you-go)
- Monthly Plan: ¥1,050 per month.
- Annual Plan: ¥10,800 billed in full at enrollment and renewal — equivalent to ¥900/month, saving ¥1,800/year. No cancellation fee, but because it's a 12-month prepaid purchase you can use it to the end of the term and there is no refund for mid-term cancellation.
- Important: membership is not "free charging." You still pay per kWh. Only the membership fee is waived during a free-trial campaign.

How to confirm whether you're a member
Open the PowerX app and go to Account. The PowerX First section shows your current status/plan (for example, a trial showing as active in green, or "Not subscribed" — if it says not subscribed, no membership fee applies). Enrollment status is also checkable via web/app. If you want a receipt for the membership fee, note it is issued differently from a charging-usage receipt.

How to register and reserve
1. Install the PowerX app and create an account with a registered credit card (required for general use as well).
2. In the app, choose PowerX First and select the monthly or annual plan to enroll (a 90-day free trial option is offered on the membership page).
3. To charge, use the app's map to pick a station and make a reservation — a reservation is required. First members can book from 3 days ahead and choose slots up to 75 minutes.
4. On the map, a red "F" marks First-rate stations where the discounted First rate applies; stations without the "F" are billed at the regular rate even for members. Some stations are also excluded from the reservation feature.

If you later want to stop: App → Account → PowerX First management → Stop automatic renewal (uninstalling the app does not cancel anything). You can keep using it until the expiry date and rejoin later. Full account deletion is under Account → Settings → Delete Account, and it erases all your information.

【プラン変更方法】
月払いと年払いの切り替えは、まず「自動更新を停止」を選択します。その後、現在の契約有効期限が切れた時点で、改めて希望するプランで再入会してください。
