**What PowerX First is**

PowerX First is an optional paid membership for the PowerX EV charging network. It costs ¥900/month on the Annual Plan (10,800 yen billed at enrollment and renewal; the Monthly Plan is ¥1,050/month). Benefits include:
- Discounted charging at ¥45/kWh~ (regular rate is ¥65/kWh~ — always ¥20 off per kWh), limited to First-eligible stations
- Advance reservations up to 3 days ahead (general users can book from 30 minutes before)
- Longer time slots of up to 75 minutes (vs. 30 minutes for general users)
- 150kW ultrafast charging (some stations are currently limited to 120kW)

Note that the membership fee and charging fees are separate — even as a First member (or during the free trial), you still pay per-kWh charging fees each time you charge.

**What the "F" on the map means**

A red "F" on the map marks First-rate sites — stations where First members can charge at the lower First rate (from ¥45/kWh).

**Rate at locations without an "F"**

Sites without the "F" charge the regular (general) rate, which is pay-as-you-go at 65/70/75 yen per kWh depending on the menu (Economy/Regular/Premium). So even First members pay the general price at non-F locations.

**How to cancel**

1. Open the PowerX app and go to Account > PowerX First management screen
2. Tap "Stop automatic renewal"

A few important points:
- You can keep using the membership until the contract end date after cancelling
- If you cancel during the 90-day free trial before the deadline, no fee is charged
- The Annual Plan has no cancellation fee, but no refunds are given for mid-term cancellation — you can use the service until the end of the 12-month term
- Uninstalling the app alone does not cancel your membership or delete your account; to fully delete your account (including card info), go to Account > Settings > Delete Account

**Rate at locations without an "F"**

**How to cancel**
1. In the PowerX app: Account > PowerX First (management screen) > "Stop automatic renewal" (自動更新を停止する).
2. You can keep using the service until your contract end date; the membership simply does not renew.
3. No refunds for mid‑term cancellation — both annual and monthly plans are prepaid and are not pro‑rated. For the annual plan you keep access until the 12‑month term ends.
4. After expiry, the PowerX First screen shows "Not currently enrolled," and you can rejoin (or switch plans) at that point. Plan changes are only possible after the current term ends.
5. If you are inside the 90‑day free trial, stopping auto‑renewal before the trial ends means no membership fee is charged (charging usage fees still apply). You can check trial status under Account > PowerX First > payment plan confirmation.
6. Uninstalling the app does not cancel anything. Cancelling First is also not the same as deleting your account — account deletion is Account > Settings > Delete Account, and that erases all your information.
